The whole villa and its pool are exclusively yours for the stay. Amonita welcomes up to six guests at the same villa price and is designed for longer, unhurried stays with family or friends. The standard minimum is five nights; cleaning is included.

There are three bedrooms: two with double beds and a master bedroom with an extra-wide bed. Two bedrooms have air conditioning; the third has a fan for guests who prefer moving air. The villa has two indoor bathrooms and two toilets — one bathroom and toilet on each floor — plus an outdoor shower.

The private saltwater pool is heated year-round by a heat pump and is intended for swimming. Around 25°C is an ideal water temperature in sunny weather; during cooler, cloudy or windy periods it can drop to around 22°C. These are indicative temperatures, not guaranteed limits: the heat pump cannot maintain a fixed temperature in all weather conditions.

Think of it as a swimming pool rather than a warm spa pool. On cloudy, windy days, swimming and relaxing beside the pool may feel less inviting.

Amonita is in the village of Tiagua, around 20 minutes by car from César Manrique–Lanzarote Airport, about 15 minutes from Famara’s surf beach and around 40 minutes from the warmer swimming beaches in the south.

We strongly recommend hiring a car to make the most of Lanzarote. It gives you the freedom to explore the beaches, volcanic landscapes, villages and restaurants across the island. You can check prices for your dates directly with CICAR ; rates vary with the season and vehicle.

Yes, if you are happy to spend most of your time at the villa and in Tiagua. There are three restaurants in the village. This is a quiet village stay, not a beach resort with everything on your doorstep. Without a hire car or separately arranged transport, you will see little of the rest of Lanzarote.

A car-free stay can make sense for keen cyclists who arrange to bring their bikes to the villa, or enthusiastic hikers who plan their days around walking. The nearest volcanic hills are around 15 minutes away on foot — a walk we regularly enjoy ourselves. Longer walks across the exposed landscape can be demanding in sun or wind, so this is not a practical substitute for a car for every family.

For most holidays, however, we strongly recommend hiring a car. Compared with the cost of a villa stay, car hire is a relatively small part of the budget, and the saving is usually not worth the restrictions or the need to arrange taxis for beaches and outings. Check the current rate for your dates: for most guests, a hire car is the sensible choice.

Street parking is immediately beside the house on a quiet cul-de-sac. Check-in and check-out times are flexible only by prior agreement, so that we can work around the previous and following stays.

The whole property is for your group only. The garden and pool are enclosed by walls around two metres high, shielding the outdoor spaces from view and giving Amonita unusual privacy for a Lanzarote village home.

No. Steps lead up from the street gate, so the villa is not advertised as wheelchair accessible. Once inside, the main lower floor is largely level, but the property has not been designed or independently verified as accessible accommodation.

Full payment is due when you book. There is no separate deposit or later balance payment, and no security deposit. For new direct bookings: cancel more than 30 days before your arrival date for a full refund; from exactly 30 days to exactly 14 days before your arrival date for a 50% refund; less than 14 days before your arrival date, no refund. Deadlines are calculated from 00:00 at the start of your arrival date in Canary Islands local time (Atlantic/Canary). Existing reservations retain their original terms.
